InstenOne Setup
Click Find phone and choose it in the Chrome window. The phone does not appear on this page until you pick it.
Install InstenLock first. With no Google account, this sets Device Owner (full lock). If a Google account is already on the phone, this sets Device Admin instead so the lock screen and reminders still work.
Open this page in Chrome or Edge on a computer. Safari, Firefox, and phone browsers can’t access USB.
Phone not showing up?
- On the phone: Settings, About phone, tap Build number 7 times.
- Developer options: turn on USB debugging.
- Use a data USB cable, not a charge-only one.
- If the desktop InstenOne app or Android Studio is open, the phone will not appear in Chrome. Quit them, then run
adb kill-serverin Terminal. - Windows only: install the phone maker’s USB driver. The browser cannot fix a missing driver.
